From Mayor Kaufman:

"As of today we are starting to make some positive advancements with regards to our current water situation.  We are not out of the woods yet and still have a ways to go before returning to normal.  As of today we have reached a level of about 8 feet in our water tower, meaning that we are on the right path to correcting this problem.  However please keep in mind that our tower is normally at a 17 foot level.  Our crews continue to work round the clock with regards to this matter.  At this time residents can MODERATELY use water, but please use only for necessary reasons.  I ask all residents to please continue to not use any water that is not necessary so we continue to make progress.  The BOIL WATER remains in effect as a precautionary measure and is required by DOH.  We cannot even ask for the BOIL WATER order to be lifted until we reach 12 feet in the tower and full pressure is restored to the entire length of the system.  When we achieve these goals a sample will be taken to the DOH for testing at which time the order can be lifted.  We are hoping to achieve the above mentioned requirements on Monday or Tuesday if all continues on the current path.  Bottled water is available to anyone who would like some free of charge.  Contact the Clerk's office for more information.  This is the most current update on this situation.  If nothing else new is posted, there are no changes to report.  Thank you for your time and patience in this matter."
